GAME RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Script work on The Conqueror’s Club has officially begun.
COMIC RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nope, nothing yet.
FIGURE RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No figure news either. Straight up, this is a slow week.
PERSONAL RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- No More Heroes has been completed. Straight up, Suda51 doesn’t make games. He makes experiences. I was so impressed with NMH I went out and bought Killer 7 and Contact.
- That brings us to Killer 7 which is, without a doubt, the most fucked up game I’ve played. I’d go so far to call it my digital version of hell. I’ve always been disturbed by low polygon 3D models for some weird reason…so the graphical style is really freaking me out. Then there are all of these invisible zombie bastards cackling as they explode in my face. It doesn’t help that you play as a schizophrenic assassin haunted by the ghosts of people he killed. Straight up, Travis Bell says “straight up” a lot. And why does that disembodied head keep making pleasant conversation with me? I shot the afro, but now there’s this super sentai team after my ass? Straight up, this game is weird.

Well, the release of This Is A Terrible Thing isn’t too far off, so it’s probably wise to let you in on the key players of the story. Unfortunately I don’t have any pics to go along with this post because I’m too lazy to make them. Ah well. Read on for some juicy information.

GAME RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Script work for This Is A Terrible Thing continues! I’ve got no idea how many game overs I’m going to stick in the game. Maybe as many as possible? I’m not planning on making it long, so I suppose having lots of BAD ENDS will lengthen the play time.
I was thinking of doing some character profiles…I guess I’ll devote one blog post to each major character.
As for The Conqueror’s Club, progress on that continues as well. The five main characters have all been named, as well as several of the minor characters. At the moment, the game is probably going to have two major story paths: the Pisalgo path, and the Sango Nana path.
COMIC RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just can’t get motivated to work on the prologue…so I’m probably going to scrap the comic version of the prologue. (The visual novel version will still be done. The story’s gotta be told somehow) From this point on I’ll jump ahead to chapter 1.
FIGURE RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I acquired Rize, who I’ve already damaged (broken peg ARGH). I also placed a pre-order for Alter’s Elizabeth from Persona 3 figure. Elizabeth! Another review coming soon.
PERSONAL RAMBLINGS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- MY POKEMON RANCH came out today. Did I buy it? …yes. It’s a pretty pointless Wiiware title. You use it to store Pokemon. You can watch them frolic, interact with each other and your Miis, and take photos of them. (I find it amusing that my Ninetales feels the need to set everyone else on fire) The big deal about My Pokemon Ranch is that Mew is obtainable…but only after you bring 999 Pokemon to the ranch.
- I also got the Gurren Lagann Yoko portraits book, which was definitely worth the 1800 yen price tag. Half of the book is loaded with delicious new Yoko artwork, while the other half is…full of stuff I can’t read. But hey, it’s Gurren Lagann! I can’t wait to get the Nia portraits book due out later this month.
- I also got Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut which was on sale at Play-Asia for twenty bucks. Twenty bucks! Unfortunately the game’s sold out now. Wah wah~

Reviews are, for the time being, back in session. Today’s review has me growing balls of steel and actually going to a public place to take photos. I can’t say it’s something I’ll do again, as the Florida summer heat raped poor Elwyn. Anyway, on to the review.
